Simon’s…now that’s a place that could pop up
into those “Where do you want to eat?” conversations.
Founded in 1976 by George Simon Sr., Simon’s just celebrated
30 years and surely with the meal we had tonight, can expect
at least 30 more!
The first thing you notice when you walk in is how comfortable
you feel. The atmosphere is instantly enticing, as our taste
buds were throwing a party at the site of dessert first! The
largest Cream Puffs…the fattest Éclairs and oh,
the cheesecakes! Where do we start?
After tearing ourselves away from the dessert display case,
we made it to the dining room, where we were instantly greeted
by a pleasant gentleman. With music playing in the background
and the lighting dimly lit, the dining room was comfortably arranged.
With both booth and table seating, the dining room looked to
be set up to accommodate large parties or just your family. We
chose a booth and the server came right over. As she pleasantly
took our drink order, she made some recommendations, letting
us checkout the menu. We noticed a wide variety of dinners, sandwiches
and salads.
Okay, now what to choose…Simon’s is known
for their Corned Beef Sandwiches, Simon Burgers, Cobb Salads,
and their nightly Specials, among many. Nate had the Simon Burger,
Matt the Rueben. We started with their famous home-made Matzo
Ball Soup and Sauerkraut Balls. Delicious! When dinner arrived,
the Simon Burger was cooked just right and the Reuben grilled
hot! Filling us up is pretty hard to do, but these meals were
tasty and the servings were huge. The price was right, the service
was fast, and the food presentation perfect. Dessert? Couldn’t
pass up a Cream Puff and a piece of Oreo Cheesecake…but
had to take them home…this time!
Simon’s also has a full service bar that you can eat in
as well. We will definitely stop in again, and you should too,
as Simon’s Restaurant & Deli is sure to excite your
family’s taste buds!
